Every Assemble Electrical job is performed under a current NSW electrical contractor licence and — where applicable — an ASP Level 2 accreditation. This page summarises what we hold and how you can verify it.

NSW ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR LICENCE
Assemble Electrical operates under a current NSW electrical contractor licence issued by NSW Fair Trading. Licences are the legal minimum to trade as an electrician in NSW — they can be checked publicly on the NSW Fair Trading licence check tool. We can confirm our licence number on request or on our written quote.
ASP LEVEL 2 ACCREDITATION
Level 2 accreditation authorises us to connect and disconnect customer installations from the Essential Energy distribution network. In practice that means we can legally do consumer mains upgrades, meter installs and swaps, service line repairs, and private power pole installation — work that a standard electrician has to subcontract. Level 2 accreditation is renewed periodically and audited by the network operator.

All work is performed to the current version of the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000) and any relevant supplementary standards. Common ones we cite on quotes and certificates include:

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANT ELECTRICAL WORK (CCEW)
Every job we complete in NSW is accompanied by a CCEW — a legally required document lodged with Fair Trading confirming the installation complies with AS/NZS 3000 and the relevant supplementary standards. You keep a copy for your records, your insurer, and any future owner of the property.
ONGOING TRAINING
Electrical standards update regularly. We stay current on wiring-rules amendments, EV charger installation guidance, battery/solar interconnection rules, and network operator (Essential Energy) installation requirements. Training records are maintained as part of our contractor licence conditions.

How do I verify your electrical licence?
You can verify any NSW electrical contractor licence via NSW Fair Trading's public licence check tool. We're happy to provide our licence number on written quotes and certificates.
What does 'Level 2' actually mean?
It means we're an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) authorised by Essential Energy to connect and disconnect installations to/from the electricity network — consumer mains, meters, service lines and private poles. Standard electricians can only work from the meter inwards.
Do you carry your licence card on jobs?
Yes. You're welcome to ask to see it on any job.
Are all your electricians licensed?
Yes. Only licensed electricians work on your installation. Apprentices, when involved, work under direct supervision as required by law.
