EV CHARGER INSTALLATION
Tesla Wall Connectors, Fronius Wattpilot, Ocular, EO and other quality AC EV chargers installed and commissioned across Yamba, Maclean, Iluka and the entire Clarence Valley.
EV ownership across the Clarence Valley is climbing fast. Charging from a standard powerpoint is slow, hard on the outlet and often unsafe on older wiring — a dedicated AC EV charger is the right long-term answer, and in most cases can be installed for a fraction of what people expect.
Assemble Electrical installs Tesla Wall Connectors and every mainstream universal AC charger brand, sizes the circuit correctly for your vehicle, and where the switchboard has limited spare capacity we install a load-managed setup so the charger throttles automatically when the house is drawing heavily — avoiding an expensive consumer mains upgrade.

A COMPLETE GUIDE TO EV CHARGER INSTALLATION IN THE CLARENCE VALLEY
Which charger do you need?
Most residential installs are single-phase 7 kW, which will add roughly 40 km of range per hour of charging — plenty for overnight charging. Three-phase 22 kW is only useful if the vehicle actually accepts 22 kW AC (most don't) and the property already has three-phase supply.
Load management vs mains upgrade
Older Yamba and Clarence Valley switchboards often don't have the spare demand to add a 7 kW load without breaching the mains cable rating. Dynamic load management measures the whole-house draw in real time and throttles the charger back when the oven, air-con and hot water are all running. This is usually cheaper than upgrading the consumer mains.
Solar integration
Compatible chargers (Fronius Wattpilot, Ocular LTE+ and others) can be set to charge only from excess solar. If you have a suitable inverter, this can be a major running-cost win.
Compliance
Every EV charger install requires a dedicated circuit, correct RCD protection (Type A or Type B depending on the charger), and a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. Cheap "quick installs" that skip the CCEW leave you exposed at insurance and resale time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does an EV charger install cost?
For a standard single-phase 7 kW install on a suitable switchboard, most residential installs fall in a predictable range. We provide a fixed written quote after a site inspection or clear photos of your switchboard.
Do I need to upgrade my mains cable?
Not always. Dynamic load management can often avoid the upgrade by throttling the charger when the rest of the house is drawing heavily.
Can I charge only from solar?
Yes, with a compatible charger and inverter. Fronius Wattpilot and Ocular LTE+ both support solar-only or excess-solar charging modes.
Do you install for holiday parks and businesses?
Yes — commercial and multi-charger installs, load balancing and metering are core work for us.
