A Level 2 ASP (Accredited Service Provider) is the only class of electrician legally allowed to connect or disconnect from the Essential Energy network. In practice, that means Level 2 work is required for: consumer mains upgrades (the cables that run from the point of attachment on your building to your switchboard), meter installations and changes, new service line connections for new builds, overhead-to-underground conversions, private power pole installation and repair, and reconnection after storm damage or non-payment.

Because we are Level 2 accredited in-house, Clarence Valley customers avoid the typical two-contractor split where the internal sparky finishes the switchboard and then waits days or weeks for a Level 2 to come out and swap the meter. We do both in one visit wherever the network permits.

Upgrading to a modern switchboard with RCBOs on each circuit dramatically reduces the risk of electrocution and electrical fire, and is usually a one-day job for a standard three-bedroom home.

EV Charger Installation

Electric vehicle ownership across the Clarence Valley is growing quickly, driven by longer-range vehicles and Tesla's dealer footprint on the East Coast. We install Tesla Wall Connectors, Fronius Wattpilot, Ocular, EO and other reputable AC EV chargers, up to 7 kW single-phase or 22 kW three-phase where the site allows. Where the existing switchboard doesn't have spare capacity, we specify a load-managed installation so the charger throttles automatically when the house is drawing heavily elsewhere — avoiding an expensive consumer mains upgrade.

Preventative Maintenance & Safety Inspections
